Today I asked Ashley, (one of my regular liberry teens) and her friend to teach me a new slang word a week. (I don't want to overuse "snap.") So they said, "Yo," and I said as in "Yo, dawg, I can't find that book you're looking for." They laughed so hard they almost wet themselves. Ashley said she was going to have nightmares and that I would get fired if I ever said that for real. Then Ashley said they would come up with a list of ten things librarians should never say (with "Yo, dawg, I can't find that book you're looking for" definitely on the list). I can't wait.
