Apparently I can only handle one creative outlet at a time, so my recent acting gig as Emily in our church's production of "Our Town" put the blog on hiatus. Church theater, you say? Yes, I was very dubious, fearing that church theater would be a level of hell below community theater. But apparently not partaking in traditional religious pursuits frees up all kinds of energy for acting. Despite all odds, our little play was actually rather good. People even cried, and I honestly don't think it was from embarassment or pain.
